What Do I Do?
Through and through – I am an SEO but I have a lot more cards up my sleeve than just that.
Simply put – I make digital content visible online – be that through search marketing, social marketing, or through content creation and syndication.
What have I done?
Lots. I have been working online since 1996 where I started creating webpages and small data driven applications and making them visible in search. I migrated to online marketing in about 1999 or 2000 where upon I was tasked with making websites more visible in the fledgling search engines.

Who is Yozza MacAoda?
Well, Yozza is my nickname – it has been since about 1990 when I moved schools, and a teacher started calling it me – because of my surname – all Hughes’s are Yossers after a character in the Alan Bleasdale Book – Boys From The Blackstuff. In the 80′s TV show he was played by the legendary BAFTA winning Bernard Hill.

MacAoda is one of the Gaelic origins of Hughes, where my family hail from:

I have adapted Yosser to Yozza – as when I was ten, that was how I believed it was spelt… I was wrong, but since then, it has been my name, my business, my reputation and an interesting story.
